For our international client, a global manufacturing provider of innovative solutions in their niche market, we are currently looking for motivated Technical Support Engineers with excellent English skills plus another European Language to join their Technical Support Team in Amsterdam.

The Technical Support Team is an integral part of the company’s service and support offering to customers. This team provides native language first-line technical support to the customer service department and the company’s customers. 

 

Job Profile for Technical Support Engineers
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Approve new and critical applications
  • Support Customer Service Account Representatives with recommendations on specific products
  • Assist in the approval and handling of special products
  • Solve customer problems via telephone
  • Assist in the training and coaching of Customer Service Account Representatives
  • Provide support with CAD drawings

 

Candidate  Profile for Technical Support Engineers

  • Must be fluent in English and another European language (German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Portuguese, Russian, etc.) both written and spoken
  • Secondary/Higher Technical School level education, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience related to material handling, or in technical customer support
  • Understand the basics of 2D and 3D CAD
  • Able to analyze and solve technical problems over the phone
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Service minded; self-managed mentality with a sense of ownership
