Our client, a highly respected and extremely prestigious world leader in the oil and gas industry, is looking for an IT Security Analyst to join their dynamic, multicultural and multilingual organisation in The Hague.

 

Job Profile for IT Security Analyst
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Analyse and review security audit and IDS logs for anomalies
  • Respond to and track suspicious/malicious events reported by the SIEM or internal users until closure
  • Collect and analyse logs from firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems, web proxies, malware analysers and email security applications
  • Communicate and interact directly with the company’s business departments in matters regarding information security
  • Report vulnerability assessment results, evaluate new applications or initiatives and provide support in assessing and developing security standards and guidelines
  • Provide support for security solutions
  • Stay current on testing tools, techniques, and process improvements in support of security event detection and incident response
  • Support Web gateway, e-mail security appliance, AV, end point protection

 

Candidate  Profile for IT Security Analyst

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar area of study
  • At least 4 years of related experience in Information Security or an equivalent certification
  • Good understanding and experience in application and network security assessment and monitoring tools and techniques including detection methods, host and network IPS, vulnerability scanners
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Incident handling
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
  • Position requires shift coverage, start 07.00 – 15.30; 15.30 – 00.00, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of threat and vulnerability and/or identity related processes and technology
  • Current CISSP or GIAC Certification
  • Experience with Python, Perl or other scripting languages
  • Experience with end-point security solutions (anti-virus, DLP, etc.)
