Our client is an established, fast expanding online business that has served the carrier industry throughout the UK for the last 16 years. They are the market leaders in their field and provide the industry with the premium cargo marketplace.

Due to business growth, they are expanding their sales department to the Netherlands and currently seeking a Business Development Manager.

Job Profile for Business Development Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage customer relationships and usage development
  • Seek opportunities for customers to increase their own business potential
  • Development of market analysis and opportunity assessment for brand growth and new revenue & membership growth opportunities
  • Manage and communicate with business partners
  • Identify and pursue cross and up selling opportunities
  • Inbound and outbound customer calls
  • Work collaboratively with Sales & Marketing to create marketing packages to support new revenue and membership growth
  • Work closely with team
  • Manage technical issues within the office
  • Coordinate the team and make sure that everyone is performing as required
  • Attend industry related events
  • Travel to UK when required
  • Attend training on the company website

Candidate Profile for Business Development Manager

  • Must be fluent in English, Dutch and German, all written and spoken
  • Experience with Freight Transport, Telematics, Selling Software will be a great advantage
  • Focused on Business Development and Business Leadership
  • Goal-orientated and highly motivated
  • Proactive
  • Able to negotiate effectively and proactively handle and respond to customers
  • Attention to detail
  • Confident, enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiations skills, with a proven track record of high-level business development
