Blue Lynx is seeking a Business Development and Sales Intern to join our Business Development team. We are looking for someone who is committed to working hard, achieving targets and being number one. To succeed in this role, a potential intern should be ambitious, personable, committed, and willing to hustle. We will teach you the “Art of Selling” but you must also be good at following instructions and be self-motivated.

Blue Lynx is a specialist niche recruitment agency in talent resourcing for multilingual, internationally oriented professionals for opportunities in the Netherlands and abroad. Our clients, candidates and in-house staff are both Dutch and international and share the following collective elements: global orientation, multicultural and multilingual.

The ideal intern will want to be part of a close, friendly team who work hard in a joint effort to achieve great results. They will be able to accept a few rejections on the road to successful selling.

Please note: This internship is only available to students who are currently studying within the Netherlands. Due to Dutch regulations we cannot offer an internship to anyone else.


Job Profile for Business Development and Sales Intern
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide research on potential and existing clients and the competitive landscape
  • Acquire new customers via telephone
  • Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting key clients/prospects
  • Assist in identifying potential business opportunities
  • Assist with and follow up on digital marketing campaigns
  • Assist in the daily growth and development of our company

Candidate Profile for Business Development and Sales Intern

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken (Dutch is an advantage)
  • Should be ambitious, personable, committed, and willing to hustle
  • Good telephone manner – comfortable making cold calls
  • Able to handle rejection
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Some (general) sales experience
  • Some experience working with customers over the telephone
  • Experience working with a CRM
