Our client, a highly respected and extremely prestigious world leader in the oil and gas industry, is looking for a Quality Management Engineer to join their dynamic, multicultural and multilingual organisation in The Hague.

This role fits within the Quality Management Division, under the Quality Monitoring Unit. The Quality Monitoring team currently consists of seven Inspection Engineers, and one supervisor. The purpose of the team is to monitor the third party contractors / engineering companies to ensure that the manufacturers / vendors and ultimately products that they are delivering are in accordance to the set standards. Therefore the inspection is mainly indirect, however occasional direct inspections may need to be performed as well in order to support other units within the division.

This is an office-based role, with occasional periods of business related travels mainly within the European region to facilitate pre-inspection meetings, functional testing, in-process inspections, focus assessments, root cause investigations and more.

 

Job Profile for Quality Management Engineer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Plan and perform the assessment of the Quality Management System of the manufacturing plants in order to verify compliance with quality standards; align with the technical department approval recommendation
  • Responsible for the continuous evaluation of the performance of company suppliers by collecting and analysing data on the ERP System
  • Perform inspection of material purchased, by review material and test certificates for compliance with purchase order requirements
  • Qualify, coordinate, direct and monitor the quality monitoring services provided by third-party contract inspection agencies, contractors and their employees
  • Identify potential new service providers
  • Perform review of new or revised company standards in your field of expertise, develop and implement quality and administrative procedures
  • Provide quality solutions and inspection best practices
  • Facilitate agreement with joint venture organisation regarding provided services
  • Build a network of partnership to have access to inspection solutions, inspection technologies, know how, and best practices
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor or senior team member

 

Candidate Profile for Quality Management Engineer

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry
  • Preferably trained and holds certification within the following areas: API, Welding, Coating and ISO 9001-2015
  • Experience in working with skid mounted equipment and piping components such as: Valves, Pipes, and Fittings. Static and Rotating Equipment’s experience will be added advantage
  • Familiar with international codes and Standards such as ASME, ASTM, EN, API, NACE etc.
  • Computer skills are essential within: Microsoft Office, SAP, Share-Point and Reporting Experience
  • Easy going team player, who is able to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and customers as well as external third-parties
