Our international client, one of the world’s leading executive search consulting firms, is now hiring a highly skilled Knowledge Analyst Consumer Goods Practice EMEA to join their international team in Amsterdam.

The Knowledge Analyst is responsible for researching publicly available information on executives, companies and industries to enhance the content of their database and to support the search engagements and new business initiatives. The Analyst provides materials, analysis and conclusions to be incorporated into client-ready products.  This person will also be a major contributor to intellectual capital efforts, both in terms of collecting data and subsequent analysis thereof.


Job Profile for Knowledge Analyst Consumer Goods Practice EMEA
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Work closely with the Knowledge Manager, Practice Associates and core practice members to develop research on key executives, companies and industry sectors
  • Provide detailed analysis in support of special projects, candidate pool development and general practice administration, as well as external business development and intellectual capital efforts
  • Through research via the internet and specialized business information databases, populate the proprietary database, QuestNT, with essential data on executives and companies as identified and prioritized by the practice
  • Assist in improving the visibility of the internal Intranet platform by enhancing its layout, functionality and content. Manage and update important information to the practice (i.e. relevant company, executive and industrial lists/reports)
  • Assist in providing content qualifications packs for the new business development initiatives
  • Develop a solid understanding of the potential client/clients’ industry including specific information regarding the “value proposition” (competitive landscape, strengths, and weaknesses), stock performance, employee count, etc. Synthesize information accurately
  • Maintain current awareness of news and issues associated with key client engagements and markets opportunities for the practice and share that information in a timely way with knowledge management, consultants, and associates


Candidate  Profile for Knowledge Analyst Consumer Goods Practice EMEA

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in an additional language is a strong-plus, especially in French, German, Italian or Spanish
  • An undergraduate degree is required. A Master’s degree would be a significant plus
  • 2-4 years’ experience working in a consulting environment and/or a role involving significant client service and the management of multiple projects towards tight timelines
  • Strong research skills: Experience with collecting and organizing information from databases and internet resources. Familiarity with business reference resources such as Factiva, Hoovers or OneSource is an advantage
  • Interest and knowledge of international corporate governance practices and experience of analysing and synthesizing regulatory frameworks would be highly advantageous
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience of operating in an international network
  • Excellent analytical skills: Ability to synthesize information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Excellent project management skills: Regularly reassessing priorities to align resources when needed and proactively reprioritizing own workload
  • Professional approach, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Ability to consistently perform at a high-level of quality
