Our client, who is an established sports technology business trusted by 1500+ organisations around the world, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Nottingham, UK.

The Business Development Manager will drive business and ensure sustained growth by achieving and surpassing targets, expanding business reach and proactively developing new sales opportunities in Europe, The Middle East and Africa with a specific focus on UK, France and Germany.


Job Profile for Business Development Manager EMEA
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage sales opportunities from lead generation to closure
  • Provide live product demonstrations for all products
  • Maintain and leverage the company’s relationship with existing customers and to
  • Promote new company products to existing customers
  • Report and communicate specific required metrics
  • Expand channel business in the EMEA region by driving existing distributor networks
  • Provide guidance to the EMEA based customer service team to prioritise and allocate resources
  • Work as part of global sales team and contribute to strategy development and implementation for business development in the EMEA region


Candidate Profile for Business Development Manager EMEA

  • Must be fluent in English, French and German, written and spoken
  • 3+ years of experience selling B2B in technology and/or SaaS (average transaction range (€20K - 80K)
  • An understanding and affinity within the European sports market (such as government institutes, British military, European sporting leagues)
  • Resilience and persistence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a clear presence
  • Savvy networker
  • Proactive lead generator, a hunter in the field
  • Demonstrable decision making skills
  • Capacity and willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends on some occasions
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively (e.g. travelling outside of the UK at least twice a month)
  • Must have valid driver’s licence and valid passport as international travel is required
