The function is suited for a professional Expeditor / Buyer who is experienced in purchasing of heavy industrial materials.

Job Profile for Expeditor/Buyer Assistant:
Administered from company headquarters and the company Tokyo Division, company supply chain management services include materials purchasing, strategic sourcing, logistics, and contracting services. Purchasing procures material requirements and performs commodity and project material price developments, performs desk and in-plant expediting and maintains material data.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining close contact with vendors to ensure that promised delivery dates for material and non-material requirements on purchase orders are met.

Monitoring vendor performance and, if found deficient, taking appropriate corrective action. Such action may include vendor counseling to improve performance and / or close monitoring of vendor performance.

Researching and responding to a wide variety of requests from vendors, MS and proponent organizations via e-mail, fax, phone and SAP.

Creating bid summaries in SAP and contacting sources as necessary for additional and/or clarifying information if quotation is incomplete.

Ensuring that all necessary accompanying documentation is correct and complete.

Creating quotation requests, purchases orders, and changing orders in SAP.
Candidate Profile for Expeditor/Buyer Assistant:

HAVO/MEAO Diploma or equivalent education level.

Minimum 3 – 5 years of work experience (with at least 3 years experience specific to expediting or purchasing of materials).

A good command of the English language.

Good communication skills.

Knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
