Our international client, a world-leading organisation in the IT/Software market, is now hiring an Academic Territory Channel Manager to join their team in Schiphol.

The successful candidate will improve partner relations, provide partners with a “go-to” person for enquiries and support and increase frequency of partner sales of the client’s technology. The ideal candidate will embrace their region’s educational community and become an engaged contributor and supporter evangelising the use of the company’s technology and creating a virtual sales team of Partner based sales people.

Job Profile for Academic Territory Channel Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Know and work closely with the Education team members to help identify partners for the purpose of driving consumption
  • Create a strong working relationship with the Channel Champ in their area
  • Leverage the expertise of the newly launched Partner Concierge Desk in order to serve partner escalations quickly
  • Manage portfolio of 20-25 education resellers/partners, or the number of partners in a geo driving 80% of the business
  • Drive customer net new and renewal revenue via partners. The primary focus should be driving partners to upsell customers on the Office 365 platform and migrate customers, not on the cloud to Office 365
  • Development of existing top resellers
  • Expand the reseller network through competitive recruitment
  • Development of new channels for new products
  • Coordination of marketing programs through distribution
  • Manage lead distribution pipeline
  • Channel activation activities: drive channel readiness through calls, webinars, events and one on one engagement
  • Drive channel communication through tools like Yammer
  • Implement Reach and Yield metrics with each partner in the portfolio (targets can be set locally)
  • Deliver and Orchestration of Modern Classroom Go-To-Market (GTM) direct to distributors, resellers and through to Surestep Ambassadors (where applicable)
  • Weekly reporting to the management team and the client’s Industry Solution Manager

Candidate Profile for Academic Territory Channel Manager

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or appropriate technology channel experience
  • Experience in working in call centre, distribution or reseller are all bonuses
  • Working knowledge of the partner ecosystem
  • Demonstrated organisational skills
  • Confidence and experience working on phone
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork, diversity and cross-team alignment 
  • Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Great telephone manner and ability to think quickly with clear articulation
  • Personable – ability to be quickly liked and trusted
  • High-level of comfort with technology and software. Experience with Microsoft products required (Windows 8, Office, OneNote, Bing, etc.)
  • A passionate self-starter that is driven to not only meet but surpass goals – team player
