We are now looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in Amsterdam.


Job Profile forAccounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform Accounts Payable tasks related to vendor management and invoice processing
  • Support monthly Accounts Payable close activities as needed (i.e. assisting with journal entries and reconciliations, contribution to the Accounting Team with close inquiries)
  • Review, analyse, and respond to external/internal supplier inquiries and perform supplier statement of account reconciliations
  • Resolute supplier’s invoicing and payment issues as needed
  • Review payments for accuracy in account coding and banking requirements
  • Work closely with the Financial Technology Team to troubleshoot system issues related to the AP process
  • Assist Business Partners with any inquiries
  • Perform audit and support for Tax/Finance team along with other duties and ad hoc projects
  • Drive the Accounts Payable process with improvements, ensuring the team can scale with the company’s growth

Candidate Profile for Accounts Payable Specialist

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in other European languages is a plus
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and background in the field of the Entertainment industry  is desirable
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of SOX compliance rules and guidelines, and VAT knowledge
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP systems, Workday experience a plus
  • Good at working with a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Customer Service orientation and focus on quality communication and attention to detail
  • Forward-thinking and articulation of the need for implementing process improvements
  • High motivation with the ability for independent work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
