Our client has been an established leader in the hospitality market for over 60 years, creating the best holiday memories for everyone by offering trendy activities, culinary experiences and little treats tailored to clients’ needs in premium all-inclusive resorts in the world’s most beautiful destinations.

Currently, we are looking for a Business Developer to join their talented team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will assist in the development of the Indirect e-sales market (agents, partners) and MICE channels in the Netherlands. You will report to the Managing Director Netherlands and be part of the EAF Commercial community in a Benelux Business Unit.

Job Profile for Business Developer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Map potential partner travel agencies and corporate clients that fit the company’s products and quality standards
  • Establish a development strategy and a commercial action plan to grow the Dutch B2B business
  • Build an indirect network in the travel industry, negotiate distribution contracts with key new partners and grow the revenues of existing ones
  • Support new travel agents in developing their company sales through continuous product and tools training and regular visits to offices and agencies
  • Organise FAM trips and participate in Grand Openings of new or renovated Resorts with key partners, to develop their product knowledge and transform them into the company’s ambassadors in the travel industry and with their customers
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare reports and continuously share and discuss with partners. Align action plans to achieve business objectives
  • Coordinate the action plan with travel partners to achieve common business objectives
  • Build and participate in an extensive MICE network among key business stakeholders, decision-makers and event companies
  • Prepare quotes and negotiate contract terms with corporate clients and event companies
  • Coordinate the organisation of the trip with the dedicated production team in Brussels
  • Develop a strong internal network with the marketing, sales and production teams in Amsterdam and Brussels
  • Contribute to the EAF Indirect and M&E communities through annual regional seminars

Candidate Profile for Business Developer

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • HBO degree is required
  • Good command of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • 5 years of experience in business development in an international environment
  • Experience in the travel industry is an advantage
  • Customer-focused with strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Result-oriented team player with a positive attitude
