Description
Our client, a World leader in process heating systems, is currently experiencing rapid growth due to global expansion.
They are looking for a Business Development Manager based in one of the following European countries – The Netherlands, Germany, UK or France, who will be responsible for their growth and expansion within the food and beverage market segment, providing excellent customer service.
Their primary job will be to acquire new customers and assist the sales organisation to acquire new customers, sell additional products or services to existing accounts and diversify to other organisations/industries.
Job Profile for Business Development Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Map out the market and the key stakeholders within Europe
- Drive business growth to achieve sales targets
- Develop sales forecasts, territory potentials, territory analysis and collaborate with management in setting adequate sales quotas and goals
- Work cross functionally with sales personnel for other business lines within the company to communicate with and about key opportunities in the food and beverage sites and key accounts
- Create, develop and maintain relationships with customers to better understand and achieve their needs in turnarounds, modifications, and new construction projects
- Liaison with customers, representatives and distribution network, and keep an awareness of upcoming capital projects and Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) requirements to identify applications for the company’s product line
- Execute territory specific sales growth initiatives as determined by senior management
- Negotiate sales agreements/orders
Candidate Profile for Business Development Manager
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Sales Account Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development or other role with Direct Sales/Business Development responsibility
- “Hunter” sales mentality – able to help develop a territory from scratch
- Self-driven and motivated, able to work autonomously and drive results with minimal direct supervision
- Exceptional customer service skills, able to effectively initiate, develop and maintain multi-level working relationships with customer organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior teamwork and leadership skills across a multi-faceted organization
- Experience with CRM is a plus (especially Microsoft Dynamics)
- Willing and able to travel up to + 50% of the time
