Description

Our client specialises in providing in-store retail IT systems, services, solutions, project management, and support platforms. With over 25 years of experience, they work with some of the biggest household brand names on the high street in the fashion and hospitality sectors, creating long-standing partnerships built on trust and expertise.

They are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Munich office. 

Using your established network within the retail IT industry, you will be given the freedom to build and manage your pipeline of opportunities. The company provides support in marketing and account management resources so you can focus on longer-term lead generation.

Job Profile for Business Development Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, owning the sales cycle from opportunity generation to close
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the product and service offerings, keep up to date with industry news and trends, and use this knowledge to enhance your communication with all relevant stakeholders
  • Supply Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, quotations, contracts, and proposals
  • Attend trade shows and networking events, to generate new business and broaden your network of contacts
  • Work with the Projects team to ensure installation success
  • Report monthly sales results

Candidate Profile for Business Development Manager

  • Must be fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • A proven network within the retail IT industry would be beneficial
  • Highly motivated and able to generate new business in the retail IT sector
  • Keen problem solver and know how to really listen to the customer’s requirements
  • Self-starter, who enjoys planning his/her own time
  • Team player, able to communicate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Easily adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
