For our international client, a global leader in the IT/Software market, we are looking for a Cloud ESG Policy Specialist to join their expanding team remotely. 

Job Profile for Cloud ESG Policy Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the EMEA Lead in strategic planning and project management
  • Provide leadership to internal teams and stakeholders to drive engagement, promote alignment to ESG requirements, and embed sustainability principles
  • Act as an expert on EMEA regulations for the Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) team. Simplify complex regulatory requirements into clear engineering and operational guidelines
  • Design and build a prioritisation map and data collection strategy for customer reporting obligations, securing leadership buy-in and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Programme and manage multiple stakeholders to support the organisation’s ESG strategy and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, sustainability commitments, and policy positions for CO+I data centres
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress in alignment with ESG customer requirements and expectations
  • Promote ESG best practices and drive progress through collaboration with subject matter experts and support coordination with the company’s Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs groups
  • Organise and simplify issues and ideas in written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Provide continuous feedback and recommendations to improve project operational efficiencies within the broader ESG working group

Candidate Profile for Cloud ESG Policy Specialist

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French or German language will be considered an advantage
  • Master’s degree in Law (preference in European law or European Environmental Law)
  • Experience in the data center industry in EMEA, sustainability/ESG initiatives on technology services is a plus
  • Proven track record in ESG regulatory analysis and/or advocacy at the EU level, with a strong focus on environmental aspects within the technology sector
  • Strong background in sustainability, coupled with familiarity in business, technology, economics, legal, and ESG public policy matters
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, collaboration and project management software
  • Able to work independently and as part of a globally diverse team
  • Attentive to details, supportive and open-minded
