Our client, a highly respected and extremely prestigious global leader in the integrated energy and chemical industry, is looking for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Specialist to join their dynamic, multicultural and multilingual organisation in The Hague.
The successful candidate is a well-rounded and seasoned professional who is able to identify CSR investment, partnerships and donations opportunities that are aligned with our client’s strategy.
Job Profile for Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Social Responsibility:
- Provide research, local insight, engagement, and Ad hoc requests to support the implementation of global programs
- Review and provide input to the feasibility studies to examine applicability of the topic’s areas being proposed by the Citizenship team as potential global signature programs to existing areas of operations and markets of primary interest. This includes:
- Conducting comprehensive research and analysis studies
- Data gathering
- Positioning and scoping
- Work with HQ on the detailed roadmap for prototyping the approved global signature concepts
- Work on activating the roadmap, which includes a methodology, timelines, deliverables, and tasks along with enablers throughout a program lifecycle of 3-5 years
- KPI reporting, impact measurement, and communication plans in alignment with the company’s Environmental Social and Governance Strategy and Reporting Department
- Recommend strategic partnerships with leading entities worldwide
- Work with HQ on identifying governance gaps
Sponsorship:
- Evaluate sponsorship proposals and requests and provide evaluation on return
- Negotiate best sponsorship packages for company on behalf of proponents
- Coordinate approvals and contracts between proponent, sponsorship committee, contracts team and external organisations
- Leverage communication channels to promote and coordinate sponsorships
Volunteering:
- Identify volunteering opportunities, support community and elevate the company reputation
- Liaise with organisers for all contracts and logistics
Candidate Profile for Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Undergraduate in Investment, Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or similar
- 10+ years of citizenship/sustainability/consultancy related experience delivering professional services
- 3+ years direct work in the Energy Industry
- Experience of the European PR and Communication Landscape
- Familiarity with the European Political and Business landscape
- Able to propose or assess Investments opportunities and to evaluate the financials and ROI of CSR projects
- Capable to develop strategies for different regions in Europe
- Instil ‘campaigning mentality’ with integrated marcomms delivery
