Our client is the world’s largest company providing oilfield services and technology products within the oil and gas industry, with a presence in more than 80 countries worldwide and over 90 years market experience. They are currently looking for a Domestic Logistics Project Lead to join their team in The Hague.

Job Profile for Domestic Logistics Project Lead
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for domestic process adherence
  • Identify and propose optimisation opportunities both in transport spend Fleet Utilisation and Network optimisation
  • Oversee the global domestic deployments, competencies and perform regular trainings on the latest function related systems Digitalisation and initiatives
  • Report to the Domestic Logistics Operations Manager and maintain close working relationships with the following:
    • GM Distribution Team
    • Systems and Analytics Team
    • Procurement & Sourcing Team
    • Global Traceability Team
    • Global Operations Integrity
  • Ensure that the Domestic SOPs are followed
  • Propose cost saving opportunities on rates and fleet sizing
  • Analyse in-country domestic trucking volumes and lanes
  • Identify and propose Network optimisation opportunities
  • Ensure domestic team is up to date with the latest function-related trainings
  • Act as the owner of Domestic Logistics Dashboard and Domestic Logistics SharePoint
  • Deal with Global Logistics systems training and process implementation
  • Obtain Monthly progress reports from Country teams, consolidate and present to HQ
  • Lead ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) continuous improvement
  • Provide support for additional tasks if needed

Candidate Profile for Domestic Logistics Project Lead

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree is a must, Master’s degree is an advantage (in Logistics preferably)
  • 5+ years of overland transport experience
  • Able to think strategically, analyse large amount of data and information objectively, and formulate out-of-the-box recommendations or new strategies
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Power Point
  • Be familiar with general Road transport processes
  • Proficient/ working knowledge of TMS/OTM is advantageous
  • Able to prepare and maintain routine records
  • Confident in working independently while maintaining good relationships with colleagues
  • Collaborate with various teams and organisations
