Our international client, a world-leading organisation in the IT/Software market, is now hiring a creatively-driven, strategically-minded Channel Marketing Coordinator for their team in Schiphol. Ideally, someone who enjoys being a hands-on practitioner and has a passion for creating world-class marketing plans in all its forms.

The mission of the Consumer Channel Sales & Marketing team is to create product desire through an unbroken demand chain. To achieve this they must develop, market and sell products that enable consumers and small businesses to learn, have fun, and get things done. There is a specific emphasis on developing, growing and optimising the retail channel for our client’s products.

The successful candidate will be a digital retail channel marketing expert and will develop and drive the flawless execution of inspired digital channel marketing and merchandising strategies on a country level.

Job Profile for Channel Marketing Coordinator
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Takes responsibility for the declination of the strategic priorities for the assigned categories in the Benelux and the guidance of the Channel Marketing team
  • Becomes the Evangelism champ, supporting our client’s Master Trainer in setting up programs to ensure the perfect instore execution of products, as well as the evangelism programs to educate, inspire and build a community of Sales representatives at retailers
  • Drives the local development and leverage of category-specific Go-To-Market (GTM) & lifecycle marketing plans to build execution strategies in all the retailers
  • Drives the Benelux Channel Marketing team to embrace the strategic direction of the specific categories, share ideas, develop best practices and demonstrate Return of Investment (ROI) – based on a common framework
  • Drives creation and reviews medium- and long-term Digital & Retail Marketing execution plans that maintain channel momentum through the product life cycle
  • Develops Digital & Retail Merchandising plans that align partner goals to our client’s category goals to maximise profits for both parties
  • Represents the cluster needs when shaping and reviewing the World Wide (WW) Digital & Retail Channel Marketing plans and assets with Western Europe (WE) & EMEA channel marketing and category teams


  • Leverages the WW Digital & Retail Channel Marketing assets and drives local execution of the Omnichannel marketing programs, promotions and campaigns with the key partners
  • Secures the perfect execution on their assigned retailer
  • Eagerness and ability to take on specific additional responsibilities and projects during business peak periods
  • Manages Channel Marketing investments and Marketing development funds for their categories
  • Day-to-day support of the Field Labour & Merchandising agency including the follow-up of the field and evangelism plan execution
  • Coordinates the content on the online learning platform and consolidates the training calendar; ensures the Master Trainer has content available
  • Reports internally – Benelux & EMEA

Manage & Monitor:

  • Acts as the channel marketing reference for our client’s key consumer categories
  • Shapes and participates in the EMEA and WW dialogues between channel marketing functions
  • Manages the budget/ resources/ schedule
  • Manages suppliers to deliver results
  • Tracks KPIs and analyses data to drive sell-through
  • Maximises ROI on future activities by measuring and optimising digital marketing campaigns and promotions performance
  • Analyses the existing local digital channel marketing capabilities and needs, and is the referent point of contact

Candidate Profile for Channel Marketing Coordinator

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • 3+ years of online/offline marketing (communications) experience – including asset creation, vendor management, and analytics
  • 3+ years of retail marketing and execution experience
  • 3+ years of project/program management experience
  • Sufficient financial and analytical experience is required
  • Able to effectively drive cross-group communication and cooperation, using strong communication, project management, and organisational skills
  • Possession of a personal passion for marketing, customer relationship marketing, and technology
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills that gain successful outcomes for both the partner and the company
  • Travel for this role can vary but will on average be around 10%
