Job Profile for Senior Finance Assistant

You will be directly supporting and working alongside the HR and Finance Team Lead in The Hague. As a key member of the Blue Lynx back-office Team, you will liaise daily with the Headquarters and provide support not only to the local Bulgarian team and operations but also to the remote team and global operations.

Finance (Bulgaria and the Netherlands)

  • Responsible for monthly invoicing and bookings (accounts receivable and payable), maintaining finance databases and spreadsheets including payroll input and all relevant administration
  • The focal point for all finance-related queries
  • Responsible for monthly salary administration and payroll
  • Managing all accounting and booking software for the group of companies
  • Managing expense tools and system
  • Create salary administration reports and analyse finance statistics
  • Assist the Finance Director with the preparation of external audits
  • Liaise Bulgarian external accountant firm regarding finance and payroll requirements
  • Make sure all duties of the team are being completed in a timely and accurate manner including ordering supplies, office facilities etc.

Candidate Profile for Senior Finance Assistant

  • Must be fluent in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years Finance experience in Bulgaria working for/with Bulgarian companies
  • Must be a confident independent worker, able to act alone regarding basic local Finance issues, processes and labour law rulings
  • Must have experience with payroll
  • Proactive self-motivator
  • Strong planning and coordination and prioritisation skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Must have a no-nonsense attitude
  • Willing and able to go the extra mile when needed
  • An entrepreneurial mindset – room for personal and professional growth
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a dynamic fast and ever-changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to meet and exceed deadlines and KPI’s
  • Must have a good sense of humour
