Description

Our international client is an independent renewable energy technical consultancy focused on helping owners, developers and contractors solve technical problems and optimise project performance worldwide since 2012. With a team of more than 60 people, they have completed many large projects in over 20 countries in 3 continents.

They are currently looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Utrecht or Enschede.

Job Profile for Junior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supervise the solar installations during the construction phase on-site
  • Collaborate with all key parties to ensure the safety and timely completion of each project
  • Provide daily site reports to the project manager enabling wider programme management
  • Order and control site stock
  • Minimise waste and ensure appropriate equipment is available to maintain the programme of works
  • Conduct daily inspections and prepare reports
  • Ensure that installation work complies with installation guidelines
  • Perform regular health and safety inspections and continuously monitor safe work practices
  • Prepare effective mobilisation and preparation of the project site
  • Ensure that work is carried out to the best standards
  • Monitor and report on progress, including budgeting and cash flow projections
  • Perform an effective practical completion of installations, including the testing of systems by installers
  • Conduct daily safety briefings

Candidate Profile for Junior Electrical Engineer

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering with a major in Electrical engineering
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the renewables industry preferred
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proficient in industry tools such as CAD tools, Microsoft Office Suite and PVsyst or similar
  • Familiarity with MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network
  • Utility-scale solar and/or wind design, development or construction will be an advantage
  • Work experience with grid connections, power distribution, substation and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment
  • Project implementation, installation and maintenance experience is a plus
  • Strong ability to identify and describe analyticical needs
  • Organised work habits with a proven track record of successful delivery of complex projects as an individual contributor
