Description
Our client is the biggest company in the Logistics field in Qatar.
Established in 2004, they have an extensive regional footprint in the MENA region. They have a global freight network of 600+ offices and a solid logistics infrastructure spanning over 3.8 million sqm, and one of their most notable achievements was being the official sponsor of Fifa World Cup 2022.
Currently, they are looking for two Logistics Officers to join their office in Rozenburg, the Netherlands.
Job Profile for Logistics Officer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Handle air and ocean freight import/export documentation
- Collect delivery orders of shipments from other S/lines on time and hand over all necessary documents to the Customs Clearing Agents
- Coordinate with the Customs Clearance Agents for the status of the shipments
- Update CS/clients and make reports on the status of the shipments
- Ensure the smooth customs clearance of the shipments
- Interact with the liners of the shipment arrivals status and collection of delivery order
- Arrange the delivery of shipments in the most cost-effective manner
- Send Cargo Arrival Notices
- Issue Delivery Orders
- Liaise with Airlines, Handling agents, shipping lines and vendors
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Candidate Profile for Logistics Officer
- Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Previous experience in the logistics field
- Around 4 years of work experience (in a similar role)
- Experience in working with air cargo and sea shipments
- Knowledge in Customs Clearance formalities in the Netherlands
- Literacy in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent work ethics
- Able to work independently
- Can-do mentality and a passionate spirit
