Our client has been working with numerous clients across five continents, to create digital employee experience solutions that enable communication and improve engagement with more than 700, 000 widely dispersed frontline workers. 

They create branded mobile employee experience solutions and an employee solutions app that is designed to connect organisations with their workforce on any mobile device, anywhere in the world using a three-channel mobile capability.

Due to rapid growth, they are currently looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager who will be responsible for enhancing the competitive positioning in the marketplace, to support sales and achievements of the overall business.

Job Profile for Marketing & Communications Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Strategic and Research Management

  • Contribute to business strategy and growth plans
  • Establish an effective marketing and communications unit including policies, systems, processes, and procedures
  • Oversee the development and implementation of an annual research plan encompassing market, competitor, buyer, and client data aligned to business development objectives
  • Based on market research, advise on the expansion or adjustment of the company’s product and professional services offerings to increase competitiveness  

Strategy and Content Development

  • Develop a marketing and communications strategy that incorporates a brand strategy, brand promise, and brand house
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans for different regions
  • Ensure that marketing and communication KPIs and plans are tracked and reported upon
  • Oversee the development of content and channel strategies, content plans, and content development to ensure that all external communications contain a consistent and compelling customer proposition

PR and International Communications Management

  • Oversee the development of PR/media plans including advising on the optimum media mix
  • Build media relationships and partnerships to increase the brand’s media presence
  • Oversee the development and implementation of an internal marketing and communication strategy
  • Oversee the design and execution of internal communications campaigns including ensuring that the organisation is aligned to deliver the brand promise by creating and implementing a LIVE the Brand program

People and Event Management

  • Drive effective performance management in the marketing and communication unit
  • Oversee the development and implementation of an annual events calendar to drive brand awareness and differentiation including webinars learning circles, company attendance at 3rd party conferences and awards
  • Drive improvements in unit culture and staff satisfaction
  • Drive the annual marketing and communication unit planning process in conjunction with the Managing Director: Regions
  • Develop an annual budget for the marketing and communication unit
  • Ensure unit adherence to budget parameters

Candidate Profile for Marketing & Communications Manager

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Masters in Marketing, Communications, or Digital Media
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in an externally-facing communications role
  • Course in business management is advantageous
  • Balance detail orientation with big-picture thinking
  • Problem-solving and time management skills (prioritisation)
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent client orientation and strategic leadership skills
  • Digital media, creative production, and events management
  • Business planning and financial management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking
  • MS Office is crucial (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
