Description

Our international client, a world-leading organisation in the IT/Software market, is now hiring a Monetisation Analyst and Trafficker with excellent Dutch and English skills, to join their dynamic team in the Schiphol area for this analytical support position. You will join a team of five people and two-three days a week you will work remotely.

As Monetisation Analyst and Trafficker, you will translate data streams into comprehensible information, primarily into Monetisation insights. You will analyse the behaviour of users online, support a team of Dutch colleagues and focus on online advertisement, online news pages and the quality of the editorial material. Your primary focus is on defining and executing the traffic-shaping models with the aim of generating more monetisable inventory volumes.

Job Profile for Monetisation Analyst and Trafficker

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Create and analyse an effective traffic modelling framework with the purpose to increase the monetisable inventory volumes, the CPM rates and thus the overall revenue generation
  • Optimise the advertising inventory volumes generation by focusing on display, native, sponsored content and lead generation traffic shaping and revenue streams
  • Stimulate programmatic and exchange Real-time bidding (RTB) revenue by optimising the company’s products with the objective of increasing the ads performance, quality and viewability
  • Support and sustain the company’s business model, based on revenue share to content publishers
  • Support traffic shaping requirements for creative solutions
  • Support generation and optimisation of sponsored content formats
  • Communicating monetisation best practices to advertising agency
  • Support business opportunities as they arise

Monetisation and Merchandising

  • The key accountability is to maximise advertising monetisation opportunities on the company’s products, browser and apps in the Dutch market
  • Form specific views on ad types and placements. Compare across markets and verticals. Note best practices and issues and seek to course-correct/ share learnings
  • Another key accountability is to enable optimal monetisation by maximising lead generation deals and native advertising revenues
  • In conjunction with Market Leads, Managing Editors and Vertical Leads, use audience analysis to better monetise traffic

Creative Solutions

  • Monitoring and tracking quality and performance of advertising campaigns reporting to advertising clients as required 
  • Support the Managing Editor on traffic shaping requirements and ROI calculation working with centralised monetisation team
  • Keep the editorial team informed about campaigns status, performance and risk, and work closely with them to ensure targets are met

Traffic shaping

  • Support Managing Editors and/or Vertical Leads to accommodate traffic shaping requests from advertising agency teams

 

Candidate Profile for Monetisation Analyst and Trafficker

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing and content marketing
  • Must be skilled in using Excel and Power BI, all dashboard in Power BI, exporting data, pivot tables and data points. Should have strong Excel skills and be very analytical. Being able to build dashboards is an advantage
  • Experience as a Trafficker or Monetisation Manager for a digital publisher or a sales house/ media agency is mandatory
  • Experience working with online sales, marketing, editorial teams and external agencies as a customer would be extremely helpful
  • Has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytic skills especially in digital media (site and audience-centric)
  • Ability to synthesise data and make specific, data-backed recommendations
  • Experience in Business Consulting is an advantage
