Our client is a giant international key player in the Internet/Technology industry. Among the many digital solutions they offer, currently, they are leaders in the market for cutting-edge products in the areas of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) now being incorporated into different aspects of people’s daily life and careers. 

They are currently expanding and are looking for a Optical Quality Control professional to join their dynamic, passionate and driven team in Eindhoven.

Job Profile for Optical Quality Control

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform optical characterization functions within specific optical tools and setups, directed by our client’s engineering, workflow and project tasks
  • Operate optical setups or engineering tools directed by the client’s engineer to support experiments and pilot runs according to workflow and project schedules
  • Collaborate with engineering and create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each optical setup and characterization tool and/or toolset
  • Support research and perform design of experiments to improve process performance
  • Maintain cross-functional relationships to identify and create project goals and objectives
  • Analyse data that is considered part of relevant work tasks
  • Perform regular characterization of optical devices or other devices critical to research projects
  • Monitor and control tool performance
  • Update engineers and stakeholders on the issues and status
  • Monitor throughput and check for improvements and optimization
  • Maintain tool status in ad hoc database systems
  • Update and maintain the following documents:
    • Create and maintain SOPs
    • Recipes, travellers and other reporting documentation
    • Design or experiment and analysis reports
    • Maintain process charts and records
    • Prepare process specific training materials 

Candidate Profile for Optical Quality Control

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, or other pertinent field is required
  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience 
  • Metrology (optical) knowledge is a must 
  • Experience with commercially available interferometry systems (ex. Zygo, 4D) and analysis software (ex. Matlab, MetroPro) is required 
  • Ability to provide strong leadership to teams made up of engineers and technicians
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and Design of Experiments is required
  • Proof of strong problem solving capability and people skills
  • Ability to conduct presentations for management, technical experts, and customers required
