Our client is an innovative software development company that provides effective workflow solutions for other businesses. Their platform creates great experiences and increases productivity.

They are currently looking for a bright, creative, goal-oriented highly energetic and hardworking individual to fill the role of Payroll Analyst and join their team in Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will support the EMEA and APJ Payroll Operations teams based in Amsterdam and Singapore. His/her main responsibility will be to ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates in status changes, tax withholding, benefits deductions and time off accruals. The Payroll Analyst will also bring valuable support to the team in all other areas as needed and will be expected to assist in the allocation and resolution of payroll tickets.

Job Profile for Payroll Analyst
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Coordinate efforts between Payroll, Human Resources and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data. This includes the preparation and distribution of detailed reports on new hires, terminations, transfers, overtime, leave balances, etc.
  • Establish and maintain employee records in the payroll data files
  • Ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made in a timely manner. Make sure they are provided by the authorised source
  • Be responsible for the allocation of all open tickets on the Payroll SURF queue. Ensure they are directed to the appropriate person in charge and done on time
  • Drive the resolution of all SURF ticket requests requiring standard responses such as system password resets, provision of payslip copies, request for basic payroll information etc.
  • Provide a best in class customer service support to the employees via SURF ticket responses, emails and telephone
  • Assist the Payroll Accountants in the processing of the monthly payrolls
  • Input special payroll check runs, such as bonuses and commissions, among others
  • Audit inputs for accuracy and thoroughness, investigate and correct discrepancies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Candidate Profile for Payroll Analyst

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Any additional languages will be considered an advantage
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Payroll environment performing similar duties
  • Knowledge of Workday and ADP streamline or any other payroll platform will be an advantage
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Able to effectively communicate information to employees and management
  • Able to interface with and satisfy the needs of diverse groups of employees
  • Possess a sense of urgency to get things done
  • Have proven customer service skills while maintaining a confidential work environment
  • Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills; high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Able to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
