The group has approximately 47,000 employees and representation in approximately 130 countries, with sales of about £7.3 billion. We are looking for a Process Support Specialist (Trade Compliance and Freight) in order to lead and to participate in process improvement activities.

Job Profile for Process Support Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Set strategy and targets, governance and risk assessment plans:
    • Align on trade Compliance strategy and goals with Division management and with the SMRT Trade Compliance team
    • Build and maintain a network of compliance contacts within the Division, to secure ownership and responsibility of trade compliance areas
    • Highlight gaps and risks in resources
    • Drive risk assessments and support prioritisation of actions
    • Align tools, training best practices and processes across all regions in the division
    • Governance of the Trade Compliance self-assessment
  • Process and Tool Development:
    • Support process design, development, implementation, documentation and assessment
    • Audit processes and ensure adherence to the common way of working
    • Drive Global system improvements and tool development to make trade compliance adherence more efficient and ensure flexibility in selecting customs partners but also compliance
    • Lead (project manage) relevant IT developments (ERP changes) or partner selection (external offerings) and conduct user acceptance testing and roll-out training
  • Subject matter expertise:
    • Act as a first POC for escalations and unresolved queries from the operational team or from the regions
  • Project Management & communication
    • Participate in projects as a subject matter expert
    • Lead and manage tier 2 projects
  • Data Analytics (if within individual core competencies)
    • Support all projects, process owner initiatives and Logistics Services by completing relevant analysis and reports and developing reporting tools

Candidate Profile for Process Support Specialist

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Must be in possession of a university degree in relevant field or equivalent
  • Must have 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, together with experience working in cross-cultural groups for at least 2 years
  • Strong and proven Subject Matter Expertise in Trade Compliance (customs, export control, trade agreements) and Freight processes
  • Logistics sourcing experience of logistics services (freight/trade compliance)
  • Project Management and Change Management experience
  • Experienced in coaching and training
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills, Power BI knowledge is a plus
  • Proven record of identifying and implementing new improved processes and procedures (preferably including IT changes)
  • Experience from Spare part logistics and or Manufacturing industry is desirable
  • Having Lean six sigma certification is an advantage
  • Process-oriented self-starter with a passion for change management
  • Organised, structured and analytical
  • Team player
