Job Profile for Sales Manager

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Report to the company director
  • Assist the Sales Director with managing and developing the current accounts in The Netherlands
  • Develop existing and new branded merchandise business for the company
  • Manage the day to day requirements of our customers, encompassing sending enquiries and orders for the delivery of promotional merchandise
  • Be responsible for customer service, account management, delivery performance, and managing individual targets. Targets will be based on orders, and invoiced business
    • This includes all aspects of dealing with enquiries, sending quotes, following up with customers, converting enquiries to orders, liaising with suppliers on pricing, ensuring smooth delivery, and maintaining customer relationships for ongoing repeat orders
  • Be required to carry out other reasonable duties within their capabilities as required and instructed, should the needs of the business require it
  • Daily responsibilities:
    • Dealing with enquiries
    • Follow up on enquiries
    • Quote customers
    • Liaise with suppliers on better pricing
    • Maintain high conversion rates
    • Hit Individual targets (orders and invoiced business)
    • Hit Company GP targets
    • Maintain and improve knowledge of promotional products in the industry
    • Developing ideas lists for customers
    • Identify innovative new products
    • Grow our established customer base
    • React to enquiries within 15 mins and quoting within 1 hour
    • Follow up on sent brochure packs
    • Use our internal system correctly for sending quotes and placing orders
    • Maintain notes on orders and enquiries
    • Request samples from suppliers
    • Maintain customer contact details
    • Chase correct artwork files, and customer approvals
    • Work towards and brainstorming creative briefs & tenders
    • Manage merchandise web shops as required
    • Attend training courses where requested
    • Keep individual CRM systems up to date and in a tidy manner
    • Maintain good practice when leaving notes for colleagues
  • Weekly responsibilities:
    • Monitor daily and weekly potential orders for discussion at sales meetings
  • Monthly Responsibilities:
    • Identify key areas for improvements and discussion at 1-2-1’s

Candidate Profile for Sales Manager

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in any other languages is highly preferable
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with the Branded Merchandise industry for promotional products
