Our client is a leading software and services enterprise provider in the financial, retail and hospitality industries. With 135 years of history, it is the world’s enterprise technology leader for restaurants, retailers, and banks. They create software, hardware, and services that run the enterprise from the back office to the front end and everything in between for them and their clients. 

Currently, they are looking for a Software Sales Executive – Global Sales Retail to join their team in France.

Job Profile for Software Sales Executive – Global Sales Retail
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Quota-carrying role with responsibility for working with customers, prospects, and partners for the organisation’s software and services within the Retail industry
  • Strategically design a plan to effectively manage the appointed territory and funnel to maximise incoming orders and meet annual quota objectives
  • Identify best fit accounts, target Retail Software (SW) solutions, and support the local account managers on opportunities
  • Develop strategies to differentiate our client’s solution from its competitors in the market space by leveraging ROI-based solution sales tools and value propositions
  • Work with the account teams, Partners and other functions throughout the sales process to maximise sales
  • Utilise a consultative selling approach to map out key decision-makers in the prospect or through the company’s partners, and create a strategy to implement an appropriate plan to penetrate
  • Develop a competitive sales opportunity strategy that anticipates the competitor’s actions/plans and utilises blocking and trapping tactics to outmanoeuvre the competition and enable the company to be better positioned to meet the customer’s objectives
  • Leverage executive level contacts to develop greater account coverage and build competitive immunity
  • Assess all competitive customer relationships to determine the impact on the decision making process, and then assist the Account Manager in developing a competitive sales strategy that anticipates the competitor’s actions utilising blocking mechanisms to out position the competition
  • Penetrate competitive accounts by presenting reasons why our client is in a better position to meet the customer’s business and personal objectives
  • Gain customer commitment, build momentum, and accelerate the sales cycle while working with key influencers throughout the sales process to minimise issues at closing
  • Create a solution offering
  • Liaise with the Product Development organisation on future direction and customer-specific requirements
  • Act professionally with high ethical standards of performance and behaviour at all times; 
  • Create trust and confidence with the customer and within the company
  • Perceive and consider the underlying attitudes, feelings, and needs of customers, peers and others
  • Modify as needed, your style to build rapport and achieve compatibility with customers, peers and others

Candidate Profile for Software Sales Executive – Global Sales Retail

  • Must be Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related fields
  • 5-10 years or above related experience
  • Proven success in solution sales environment
  • Consulting Skills to understand retail IT solutions and to guide value proposition with a best fit and efficient implementation in mind
  • Experience in Software or Services Solutions is an asset
  • Understanding of retail industry with a focus on added value Software and Services Solutions
  • Must be prepared to travel across France region
