Description

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Rotterdam.

Job Profile for Quality Inspector
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Inspect Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) installations in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), and project quality requirements
  • Review contractor Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Verify and approve Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), compliance checklists, and completion documentation using project completion management systems
  • Compile, manage, and approve test packs to support project completion and handover activities
  • Support the Site Quality team by preparing quality reports and providing updates to project management
  • Participate in internal and contractor site meetings to address quality, inspection, and construction activities
  • Ensure compliance with company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, site procedures, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Manage punch lists and non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Identify potential project risks and quality issues, escalating them to site management and recommending effective solutions
  • Prepare daily and weekly site quality and inspection reports
  • Conduct and participate in system walkdowns to verify installation quality and project readiness
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely resolution of punch list items and non-conformances
  • Support commissioning teams with punch point closure and quality-related activities
  • Witness and verify Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on quality-related matters
  • Ensure contractors maintain valid calibration and certification records for inspection and test equipment
  • Maintain awareness of industry developments and advancements in Electrical and Instrumentation technologies
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, site layouts, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Apply knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and quality documentation

Candidate Profile for Quality Inspector

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant ATEX training and certification
  • 10+ years of experience within oil and gas onshore facilities
  • Extensive knowledge of LV, MV and HV electrical and instrumentation equipment, including transformers, PDCs, motors, panels, PLCs, DCS, cables, detectors, transmitters, gauges and valves
  • Experienced in electrical and instrumentation inspection activities, with strong proficiency in the use of inspection, measuring and test equipment to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Skilled in interpreting and advising on the implementation of manufacturers’ installation, operation and maintenance manuals
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
