Description

Our client is a global outsourcing provider of integrated supply chain services associated with maintenance, repair and overhaul activities in large manufacturing facilities. They partner with leading multinational organisations, providing expert on-site solutions and fostering strong relationships with both clients and suppliers through effective communication and exceptional service. 

For their client in Lendava, they are currently looking for an ambitious Buyer.

Job Profile for Buyer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • React to purchase requisitions for ad-hoc (spot buy) and inventory-controlled items, source and procure engineering, facility and manufacturing equipment spare parts and services, and place purchase orders in the company system
  • Expedite orders, update delivery promise dates and manage suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods
  • Identifie and execute cost reduction initiatives through price negotiations or approved product substitutions, and report and track cost savings within the company system
  • Resolve non-conforming delivery issues, including returns for credit or replacement, as well as invoice queries
  • Ensure company reports are maintained in a timely manner on a weekly basis

Warehouse operative duties (applies to onsite buyers)

  • Support the receipt, unpacking, system processing and distribution of incoming goods, including transporting items where required
  • Support stock management activities, including annual stock-take and monitoring and updating shelf-life information

Candidate Profile for Buyer

  • Fluent in Slovene and English, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms, inventory control processes and domestic and European supply chains
  • Good knowledge of engineering, maintenance and factory consumables product groups
  • Experience working in a demanding manufacturing environment where continuity of production is essential
  • Proven ability to source both current and obsolete products and identify cost-saving opportunities through price negotiations, product substitution and standardisation
  • Strong negotiation skills, with good numerical, communication and systems skills
