For our international client, a global leader in the IT/Software market, we are looking for a Critical Environment Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team in Amsterdam.
Job Profile for Critical Environment Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Review electrical design documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with standards and operational requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments
- Follow up on project implementation schedules to deliver the hardware engineering aspects of a well-defined feature or product and escalate issues to management as necessary
- Implement and track product plans, under the guidance of other engineers
- Highlight potential issues that may affect downstream execution of projects
- Assist in the implementation of risk assessments (e.g., supplier or partner delays, incomplete specs, or tool issues) into project plans
- Communicate project progress or status within the project team and escalate issues as necessary
- Implement known solutions to common technical and/or design challenges, with some guidance from other engineers
- Read device specification sheets and interpret common details required to design and test various hardware features
- Develop design documentation including drawings, specifications, schematics, or diagrams for features of well-defined products with guidance and direction from a manager or other engineers
- Review supplier or partner technical sheets for available parts and choose appropriate parts needed to support product development
- Analyse and interpret results of data and statistical analyses to identify common problems or flaws that may affect a feature or product design change and bring them to the attention of other engineers or team leads
Candidate Profile for Critical Environment Electrical Engineer
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s or Master`s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 1+ years of technical engineering experience
- Experience in electrical engineering, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure environments
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and backup power systems
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
