Our client is the world’s largest company providing oilfield services and technology products within the oil and gas industry, with a presence in more than 80 countries worldwide and over 90 years of market experience.
They are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team in The Hague.
Job Profile for Financial Analyst
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Review results and profitability analysis relating to the area of responsibility
- Analyse and investigate trends and reports to the Operations Controller
- Perform general ledger accounting. Validate accounting by outsourced organisations, including pre-paid, accruals and allocations
- Review cost allocation cycles and decide if changes are needed. Analyse the results of allocation runs
- Analyse and control investments, including CAPEX and projects, by managing project structures, performing project planning and budget assignment, managing project settlement rules, and monitoring project revenue and cost execution and closure
- Request intercompany cost recharges as needed
- Review revenue recognised through the period and reconcile against sales orders. Review deferred revenue not recognised due to lack of recognition criteria, and follow up
- Understand revenue determination and accounting in accordance with RDS for non-routine contracts
- Review revenue, direct costs, consumption and profitability reports for completeness, and report
- Review Product Cost Product Revenue (PCPR) margin and variance explanations, and report final results and analysis
- Finalise overall period-end results, investigate variances, negative trends or exposures, and report
- Execute internal controls in accordance with the set control framework
- Recognise and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and oversee the clearing of open items by outsourced organisations, and certify the completeness of balance sheet notes
Candidate Profile for Financial Analyst
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- 10+ years of experience in a similar Financial role
- Experience working in a big, international company
- Experience with General Ledger accounting
- Able to review and optimise internal processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Able to work with tight deadlines
