Our client is a highly respected and extremely prestigious global leader in the integrated energy and chemical industry.

Currently, they are looking for an Information Security Operations Lead to join their dynamic, multicultural organisation in The Hague. 

In the role, you will be responsible for managing and guiding the cybersecurity team with a deep understanding of cybersecurity operations, compliance frameworks, and risk management.

You will analyse security threats, assess vulnerabilities, and coordinate response activities.

Job Profile for Information Security Operations Lead

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Supervise and lead a team responsible for cybersecurity operations, incident response, and risk mitigation
• Monitor security systems and ensure the timely investigation and resolution of security threats
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and industry best practices
• Guide security threat analysis, vulnerability management, and mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve security posture and enforce security controls
• Train and mentor cybersecurity staff, ensuring continuous improvement in skills and knowledge
• Assist in cybersecurity audits, assessments, and penetration testing efforts
• Support the implementation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities related to cybersecurity
• Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
• Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, with the rest of the IT department and also with other affiliates and subsidiaries

Candidate Profile for Finance Governance and Risk Control Supervisor

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• Advanced knowledge of general security methodologies, concepts and terminologies
• Certifications in CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, Security+, or other relevant industry certifications
• Deep understanding of cloud security (Microsoft 365, Azure) and identity governance frameworks
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position
• Experience with SIEM and SOAR tools, network and endpoint security solutions
• Experience in managing large-scale security events, such as malware outbreaks or coordinated cyberattacks
• Proficiency in digital forensics, threat intelligence, and malware analysis
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.)
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to develop and execute cybersecurity tabletop drills, ensuring readiness for security incidents
• Good analytical skills to assess and interpret complex security data and risk scenarios
