Description

Our client is a technology-driven organisation operating at the intersection of public safety, data analytics, and correctional intelligence. They develop advanced software platforms used by correctional facilities and law enforcement agencies to support secure communications monitoring, investigative workflows, and data-driven decision-making.

They are now looking for a Client Relationship Manager with a strong new business focus to drive expansion across their customer base, joining their team remotely. 

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities within the public sector and corrections market, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Job Profile for Client Relationship Manager
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across public and private corrections organisations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for prospective clients and sponsors throughout the sales cycle
  • Identify client needs and align the company’s capabilities to deliver tailored value propositions
  • Facilitate and sponsor ongoing client interactions to drive engagement and maintain top-of-mind awareness
  • Lead and execute sales initiatives with the overarching goal of increasing company revenue in alignment with corporate objectives
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within both the government/public sector and private corrections markets
  • Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline, tracking prospects from initial contact through contract execution
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, decision-makers, and procurement committees
  • Partner with IT and corporate teams to develop competitive, solutions-oriented sales strategies
  • Lead the end-to-end proposal process for targeted clients and sponsors, ensuring timely and competitive submissions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, finance, and operations to develop accurate budgets and pricing strategies
  • Write and edit high-quality proposals, executive summaries, and response documents that clearly articulate the company’s value
  • Lead contract negotiations, working with legal and corporate leadership to finalise terms that protect company interests
  • Coordinate and deliver professional client presentations, tailoring messaging to the audience’s priorities and concerns
  • Work closely with IT and corporate leadership to ensure sales efforts are aligned with product capabilities and company strategy
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline status, market intelligence, competitive landscape, and revenue forecasts
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and professional association events
  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies, positioning materials, and marketing collateral

Candidate Profile for Client Relationship Manager

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in corrections, public safety, criminal justice, or a related government services industry
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, RFP/RFQ responses, and public contracting requirements
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Direct experience working with Departments of Corrections, county jails, private prison operators, or corrections technology vendors
  • Existing professional network within the corrections or public safety sector
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and closing contracts with public and/or private sector clients
  • Experience leading proposal development processes, including writing, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level client relationships across diverse organisations
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales activities
  • Outstanding presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Results-driven with a persistent focus on achieving revenue targets and measurable outcomes
  • Relationship building – skilled at establishing trust and credibility with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyse market dynamics and develop creative, effective approaches to winning business
  • Collaborative person who works effectively across departments, leveraging IT and corporate resources to support client engagements
  • Professional with the integrity to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in a highly regulated industry
  • Adaptive in a fast-paced environment and adjusts strategies based on client feedback and market shifts
