On this page, you will find what type of personal data Blue Lynx (hereinafter referred to as “the company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes and collects from you when you use our website and services.
We are fully General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant and all the personal data and details that we process, collect and store are secured in accordance with the European law.
Blue Lynx ensures your privacy is always protected. Your personal data is always handled with care and respect. When you provide us with specific information, you can be assured that it will only be used for the purpose(s) outlined in this privacy policy statement. The terms and conditions of our Privacy policy are subject to change at any time.
There are two main ways, in which we collect data: through the use of our website (registration in our internal database, website analytics tools, contact forms and cookies) and during the recruitment processes when assisting you in your job search. To inform you about each in a clear manner, we will be covering each of them in the following lines.
1.1. Recruitment
We collect personal information about our candidates throughout the recruitment process. This applies to Temping, Contracting, Recruitment, Executive Search and Talent Sourcing. Be it through the registration form on our website or a call with our recruiters and talent sourcers, you might be asked to provide specific personal information.
1.1.1. What type of data do we collect?
We collect the following data from our candidates upon registration and screening:
- Personal information – name, age, nationality
- You contact details – email, phone number, address
- Language skills
- Your CV
- Cover letters (when required)
- Availability to work
- Education details
- Certificates and qualifications (when required)
- Salary expectations
- Contact details of referees (when required)
- Other job-specific information for the position you are applying for
As part of our services, we also actively source candidates on job boards (i.e. LinkedIn, Monsterboard, Indeed, etc). To match individuals to the right career opportunity, we collect personal information candidates choose to make public to find a job.
This may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Education details
- Current and past employment
- CV and other details from your profile
1.1.2. How do we collect your data?
We use several channels to communicate with candidates. We may collect your personal data and additional information:
- Over the phone and via email
- Via a reference that you have chosen
- Through contact and registration forms on our website
- From job boards and professional social media networks
1.1.3. How will we use your data?
We gather personal information and details to provide you with a better service and to accurately match candidates to job opportunities. Some ways we can use your data include:
- Assessing skills and suitability to a job
- Arranging interviews with clients and Blue Lynx employees
- Providing information in regards to the outcome of your job applications
- Sharing your CV and other employment details with our clients
- Requesting reference information and contact details
- Providing your information to a third-party reference check company, when required by a client and with your permission
- Processing your information for administrative tasks for internal purposes
1.1.4. How do we transfer your data?
We only provide third parties (i.e. our business clients and reference check companies) with your data after we confirm your consent. We make sure we transfer the absolute minimum data necessary for recruitment purposes and we take the maximum security measures. The minimum data required would be:
- Names
- General Location – City
- Education and Qualifications
- Employment History
- Skills
- Salary expectations
- Availability
- References – if requested
The aforementioned data could be transferred to third countries, out of EU/EEA and Switzerland, only for recruitment purposes and with the Candidate’s consent.
Blue Lynx does not give access to your data to third party providers for marketing and advertising purposes.
1.1.5. How do we store your data?
For Employees/ Contractors: Under Dutch law, when you join our employment, we are required to keep your documents for 7 years according to the Data Retention Policy. After this period, your personal data will be irreversibly destroyed.
For Candidates: Any personal data provided to us through the registration and interviews will be kept for a maximum of 5 years.
All Blue Lynx websites (Public, extranet, intranet and internal applications) use encrypted technology. Hosting and storage of your data takes place in data centres in the Netherlands.
1.2. Sales Activities
We collect and store data for current and prospect Clients.
Current Clients: Active Clients’ Data is stored for 7 years after contract expiration. It includes Company representatives Names and Business Contact details.
Prospect Clients: We collect information about Prospect Clients, so we can reach out to them and offer our services.
The type of information we collect is: Names, Business Contact Details (Telephone, Email) and we use tools like Lusha and Rocket Reach to source the Business Contact information.
Business Contact information for Prospect Clients is kept for a maximum of 2 years.
1.3. Cookies
1.3.1. What are cookies and what are they used for?
Website or HTTP cookie is a small piece of data that your web browser stores on your computer while you are browsing our website. Cookies are a mechanism that allows websites to remember information about the user’s interactions, preferences and activity. They also help us with identifying the type of browser and device you are using.
1.3.2. Deactivation and deletion of cookies
The law states that we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, we need your permission. You can at any time change or withdraw your consent from the Cookie Declaration on our website.

1.4.1. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a tool, which helps us track data about visitors on our website. Google Analytics cookies gather information that we later use to measure and improve our website’s performance. Google Analytics gives us information about the following:
- Type of browser, device and operating system
- IP address
- Age, gender and location
- Source
- Pages you have visited and the amount of time spent
- Whether you are a new or returning user
We don’t use any of the traceable data to identify our users. We do not sell or otherwise give this information to third-party providers.

1.4.2. Hotjar
We use Hotjar’s cookies and technology to understand our users’ needs and behaviour on our website, as well as to optimise their experience. Hotjar is a technology service that gives us insight into:
- How much time they spend on which pages
- Which links they choose to click
- What users do on our website
- Which features they choose to interact with
With the help of Hotjar, we also build and maintain our service with user feedback.
Your IP is processed during the session and stored on Hotjar in a de-identified form. Hotjar also reports on device screen size, device type, browser information, country of access, and the preferred language the user chooses to display our website. Hotjar protects this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell the data collected on your visit on our behalf.

1.4.3. Leadinfo
We use the lead generation service provided by Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, The Netherlands, which recognizes visits of companies to our website based on IP addresses and shows us related publicly available information, such as company names or addresses.
In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies for providing transparency on how our visitors use our website and the tool processes domains from provided form inputs (e.g. “leadinfo.com”) to correlate IP addresses with companies and to enhance its services. 1.4.4. Calendly
We have Calendly forms on some of our webpages, which allow you to book a meeting with our Consultants directly in their calendar.
In order to facilitate this, we require you to fill in some information about yourself – Name, Email, Company Name, Function.
1.4.5. Contact forms
We have several contact forms spread around different sections of our website. They are designed to facilitate getting in touch with us. Most of those forms require an email address and other personal information. We use this information to contact you back in order to answer your questions or queries.
By subscribing to our newsletter or filling in your email in one of our contact forms, you agree to have your data processed by Blue Lynx. We may also use your contact information for market research and to make announcements about new services and features on our website.
