Description

Our client is an established international provider of technical communication and information management services, supporting engineering and technology-driven organisations with technical documentation, content management, and localisation solutions remotely. 

They are currently seeking motivated Technical Writers to work remotely from Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, or the Czech Republic.

In the role, you will create and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex information into accessible content that supports users and products.

Job Profile for Technical Writer
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, FAQs, release notes, and online help content
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather technical information and validate documentation accuracy
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content tailored to the target audience
  • Review, edit, proofread, and update documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and compliance with organisational standards
  • Organise and structure documentation to provide a logical flow, intuitive navigation, and an optimal user experience
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to established style guides, templates, branding, and documentation standards
  • Manage documentation throughout the product lifecycle, including version control, content updates, and release documentation
  • Utilise documentation authoring tools and content management systems to create, publish, and maintain technical content
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from users, customers, and internal stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality and usability
  • Ensure documentation complies with applicable regulatory, legal, security, and quality requirements
  • Support the continuous improvement of documentation processes, standards, and best practices across the organisation

Candidate Profile for Technical Writer

  • Must be fluent in German and English, both written and spoken  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and communicate them in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar documentation role within a technology or engineering environment is preferred
  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Quanos ST4, Cosima Go, Smart Media Creator, or similar content management systems is an advantage
  • Familiarity with markup languages, including HTML, XML, or Markdown
  • Experience creating multimedia documentation, such as diagrams, videos, and tutorials, is desirable
  • Professional certification in technical writing, such as from the Society for Technical Communication (STC), is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
