For our international client, a global leader in the IT/Software market, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Operations to join their expanding team in Middenmeer. 

Job Profile for Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Operations
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Follow project implementation schedules to deliver hardware engineering aspects of a well-defined feature or product
• Highlight potential issues that may affect downstream execution of projects (e.g., performance vs. reliability and manufacturing concerns)
• Assist in implementing risk assessments into project plans (e.g., supplier or partner delays, incomplete specs, or tool issues)
• Communicate project progress/status within the project team and escalate issues as necessary
• Act as the technical authority for on-site operations related to a large-scale mission-critical electrical system, design, and functionality
• Assist in developing automated testing solutions and independently conduct automated testing on standard feature areas or products
• Assist in setting up and breaking down testing environments with guidance and supervision from other engineers following safety guidelines
• Manage the electrical infrastructures throughout the data centre campus ranging from a single large capacity facility to several smaller ones
• Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems
• Understand the design and functionality of the data centre
• Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures, maintaining highly redundant electrical designs
• Support 24x7x365 on-site data centre operations and electrical infrastructure
• Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data centre activities

Candidate Profile for Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Operations

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and technical engineering experience
• Working knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
• Proven experience with project management in a critical environment
• Ability to work with other technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a person of integrity, methodical, and detailed-oriented
