Description

Our client is a huge international key player in the Internet/Technology industry. Among the many digital solutions they offer, they are leaders in the market for cutting-edge products in the areas of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). These technologies are now being incorporated into different aspects of people’s daily lives and careers. 

We are looking for a talented Operations Engineer to join our client’s team in Eindhoven.

Job Profile for Operations Engineer
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, deploy and implement new processes and techniques to improve platform and product quality, process robustness and manufacturability
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
  • Train and mentor operations staff on new equipment, processes, and techniques to ensure a high level of competence and safety
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to drive efficiency, productivity, and innovation
  • Provide technical support for the production process to ensure smooth operations
  • Identify and address root causes of technical disturbances, implementing measures to prevent recurrence
  • Oversee work preparation in all aspects, including developing operating instructions and process flow charts, establishing production sequences and tooling requirements, and defining process parameters and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Analyse continuously production processes to identify structural problems and bottlenecks, develop and propose improvement suggestions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Application Engineering and Service to implement changes
  • Work closely with customers to ensure seamless integration of printed lenses into the broader production process for end products
  • Analyse and monitor performance trends and propose improvements to optimise machine uptime and overall efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Application Development, and Service Teams, to implement new technologies and processes

Candidate Profile for Operations Engineer

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Applied Physics) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with supervising operators to ensure the process and quality are well-controlled
  • Experience in process/technology scaling up and industrialisation. Able to bridge the gap between R&D and mature manufacturing/operation
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
  • Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
  • Familiarity with quality management systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Result-driven with a strong technical interest in analysing and understanding the root causes of issues
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other sites
