Currently, they are now looking for a Piping Superintendent to join their team in Rotterdam.

Job Profile for Piping Superintendent
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Manage the successful execution of the overall piping scope including supports, painting, testing and insulation for allocated areas of the site in accordance with the project schedule, cost and other KPIs
• Monitor the pre-fabrication of pipework: weld quality, material control and cast number control and transfer, cleaning and painting, packaging and preservation, adequate marking, documentation and certification
• Ensure the correct installation of piping, pipe supports, valves and other in-line equipment in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and standards
• Guarantee the maintenance of the necessary cleanliness of piping systems and the use of dry air purges
• Assure that surfaces are correctly prepared and painting is properly applied
• Confirm that all insulation materials are correctly applied
• Verify that testing is carried out using the correct medium i.e. pneumatic on all systems unless they contain water or steam
• Ensure adequate safety distances during pneumatic testing
• Make certain that all oxygen closing welds are inspected and signed off
• Ensure all necessary QC checks are carried out and that weld quality processes are maintained
• Guarantee that material control and cast number transfer are properly carried out
• Responsible for punching out completed systems and managing the punch list on behalf of AP
• Responsible for the completion of all mandatory before start-up punch list items to support the commissioning schedule
• Write regular progress reports as required by the Construction Supervisor/Manager

Candidate Profile for Piping Superintendent

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch fluency is a plus
• Degree or Diploma in an appropriate Engineering discipline e.g. Mechanical
• 10 years of previous experience working in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, in the Oil and Gas industry
• VCA Certificate is needed before starting work on site
• Piping background
• Working knowledge of recognised piping codes including the B31.3
• Knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on piping erection, pre-fabrication, painting, insulation, testing and quality control
• Knowledge of ASME and other relevant standards and codes
• Microsoft package skills, particularly Excel
• Possess report writing skills
