Description

Our client is a global outsourcing provider of integrated supply chain services associated with maintenance, repair and overhaul activities in large manufacturing facilities. They partner with leading multinational organisations, providing expert on-site solutions and fostering strong relationships with both clients and suppliers through effective communication and exceptional service. 

Currently, they are looking for an experienced Area Manager Europe to drive sales and profitability across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany by ensuring exceptional standards. 

This role is commercially focused and requires a professional who can ensure sites are delivering compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and targets. Furthermore, a hands-on approach is needed to manage and coach the sales team, improve performance and deliver desired outcomes. 

Job Profile for Area Manager Europe
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Drive sales and margin to agreed targets
  • Improve overall commercial performance
  • Develop and motivate all employees to deliver company expectations by giving direction and instruction where necessary
  • Ensure all new processes and procedures are implemented
  • Build strong relationships with the site manager to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the client sites
  • Monitor and control all operational costs
  • Recruit the best possible candidates for roles across client sites
  • Develop staff to achieve their full potential, which includes coaching and mentoring
  • Ensure weekly KPIs are completed accurately and on time
  • Identify exceptional performance and take the necessary action to maximise the overperformance
  • Develop robust and detailed action plans for all stores covering all KPI’s
  • Constantly analyse the revenue drivers and explore methods to improve them on each site, providing end-to-end solutions
  • Apply improvements across all sites in line with company policy
  • Ensure compliance with preferred supplier lists to maximise margin
  • Establish and maintain a strong relationship with existing clients and resolve any issues that may escalate

Candidate Profile for Area Manager Europe

  • Must be fluent in Dutch, German and English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience within the Food and Beverage or Pharma industries
  • Proven track record of sales growth and business development
  • Experience with engineering spare parts is required
  • Robust people management and influencing skills
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, planning, organisation, and analytical skills
  • Able to drive business profitability by implementing good business controls
  • Must be a high achiever with determination and drive to succeed
  • Organised, flexible, motivated and a hard-working leader
  • Full clean driving license
