EHS Supervisor – Dutch & English

Description

Our client is an international company, supplying essential industrial gases and related equipment to various sectors, focusing on innovation and sustainability. 

They are now looking for an experienced EHS Supervisor to join their team in Rotterdam.

In this role, you will provide support and facilitate the implementation of the company’s EHS Management System within the assigned projects during construction and commissioning activities through project completion. Key support will be provided in areas of project EHS risk assessments, accident and incident investigation, Permit-to-work assessments, EHS execution work process and tool support. 

Job Profile for EHS Supervisor
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Provide EHS leadership and support to the Project Site Team in achieving project objectives
• Champion the application of PDO EHS processes to enhance project performance
• Facilitate and promote heightened EHS awareness and behaviour throughout the project
• Support and advise Project Managers, Project Team, and Project Site EHS Manager in the areas of safety, health, emergency preparedness, and risk management
• Implement site-level EHS plans in alignment with the PDO EHS Management System and project management team
• Work closely with Contractors to establish and execute plans that meet contract requirements, ensuring effective implementation
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to the site team
• Support the Project team
• Instruct and train project personnel on company EHS policies, procedures, and systems
• Participate actively in Project EHS Leadership Team meetings
• Support site performance reporting, action tracking, and case management of injuries and illnesses
• Interface with the PDO EHS group to adopt best practices and lessons learned
• Contribute to site performance reporting, action tracking, and case management of injuries and illnesses

Candidate Profile for EHS Supervisor

• Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• Proven background in EHS supervision with a strong track record in project construction support
• Knowledge of EHS management systems and the processes, technologies and equipment in use on industrial sites and their potential hazards
• Relevant EHS qualification with demonstrated experience
• Significant experience in Major Capital Construction Projects is preferred
• Expert knowledge and experience in incident investigations and root-cause analysis
• Proficient knowledge of OSHA, Dutch legislation, EPA, DOT, and Drug and Alcohol policies
• Ability to read P&IDs and Single Line Drawings, Rotating Equipment, LOTO (Lockout Tag out), PTW (Permit to Work), SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations)
