Our client is a highly respected and extremely prestigious global leader in the integrated energy and chemical industry.
Currently, they are looking for a Senior IT Analyst to join their dynamic, multicultural organisation in The Hague.
Job Profile for Senior IT Analyst
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
IT Management:
- Design, develop, implement, and manage information technology including hardware, software, and networks
- Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain security for IT hardware, software, and network infrastructure
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate IT projects and reporting
- Attend frequent meetings with vendors and company team members
System Development and Support:
- Develop solutions for operational problems and install, maintain, and enhance application systems to support department operations
- Conduct business systems and technology studies within departments to ensure proper functionality of business systems
- Support division staff with the successful usage of business systems and overcoming systems issues
- Perform or oversee system application analysis, design, development, installation, maintenance, and enhancement
Security Monitoring:
- Monitor security audit and intrusion detection system logs for system and network anomalies and provide first-level analysis
- Respond to suspicious or malicious events detected through collection or reported by the Help Desk or users
- Evaluate firewall change requests, assess organisational risks, and monitor email security
- Develop, collect, and analyse logs from firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and enterprise anti-virus systems
Documentation and Communication:
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other documentation
- Communicate technical assessment results and support the development of security policies, standards, and guidelines
Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between client areas and departments by analysing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
- Collaborate with clients, IT colleagues, and others to identify business application system requirements, assess impacts, and provide recommendations
Innovation and Metrics:
- Generate and act continuously on new ideas, methods, products, or solutions; assessing and testing risks
- Evaluate metrics to understand the potential impact of current business challenges on the company’s success
Candidate Profile for Senior IT Analyst
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of work experience as an IT Consultant or in a comparable role, preferably in a multinational environment, with experience in systems analysis and systems engineering
- Competent with SAP (e.g., MM, QM, BW), GUI XT, Winshuttle, and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of network, host, data, and/or application security across multiple operating system environments, including hands-on experience with security methodologies, concepts, and tools (e.g., Anti-Virus, Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls, and SIEM solutions)
- Work experience in a complex international network environment, including Active Directory, Exchange, and other major IT infrastructure components
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
