Description

Our international client is one of the world’s leading firms providing professional solutions in audit, tax and advisory services to many of the world-leading organisations. 

They are currently expanding and are looking for an enthusiastic Manager Public Procurement Projects to join their Procurement and Supply Chain team in the region of Amsterdam. 

In the role, you will be working with a variety of clients within the Public and Healthcare sectors, acting as an executive project manager, with the support of the project management team, and a focus on purchasing and supply improvements.

Job Profile for Manager Public Procurement Projects
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage multiple project-management teams (each consist 1 or 2 consultants per team)
  • Advise and guide clients on a project basis 
  • Optimise and redesign purchasing chains
  • Develop ESG and CSR-related purchasing strategies and plans
  • Improve, digitise and implement purchasing contract management processes
  • Draw business cases for making the supply chain more sustainable
  • Design business cases for setting up contract management
  • Provide guidance for complex public tenders
  • Advise directors, purchasing and contract managers at the central government and independent administrative bodies

Candidate Profile for Manager Public Procurement Projects

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • A completed Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or Public Administration or an HBO diploma with relevant experience 
  • 5-6 years of work in relevant positions
  • Knowledge and experience within the Public (Healthcare) sector
  • Experience in leading projects and managing a team is highly preferable  
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Results-oriented, ambitious, proactive team player
