Our client, a highly respected and extremely prestigious global leader in the integrated energy and chemical industry.

Currently, they are looking for a Cash Management Analyst (Payment Operations) to join their dynamic, multicultural, and multilingual organisation in The Hague.

The Cash Management Analyst is responsible for managing payment processes, ensuring accurate and timely execution of financial transactions, and maintaining effective controls within treasury functions. This role involves overseeing payment workflows, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and leveraging technology to streamline payment operations. 

Job Profile for Cash Management Analyst (Payment Operations)

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Execute and monitor outgoing payments, including wire transfers, SEPA payments, and electronic fund transfers, in accordance with established procedures
  • Reconcile transaction data and investigate discrepancies or errors in payment processing workflows
  • Review payment instructions and validate supporting documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Manage bank statement processing S/4HANA Cloud, including importing, reconciling, and posting bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Perform bank reconciliation activities to match transaction records between bank statements and GL balances, investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Prepare weekly cash forecasts to predict funding requirements, monitor liquidity positions of operation accounts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and accounts payable teams to address payment inquiries, resolve payment-related issues and improve process efficiency
  • Monitor and analyse payment trends, transaction volumes, and payment processing metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Collaborate with IT team in standardisation of payment formats and streamline payment processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance control mechanism
  • Assist in payment factory implementation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and integration with existing systems and processes
  • Develop and maintain payment guidelines, procedures, and documentation to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal controls
  • Prepare periodic reports and performance metrics on payment operations for management and audit purposes

Candidate Profile for Cash Management Analyst (Payment Operations)

  • Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degrees or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in treasury operations, payment processing, cash management
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, banking processes and financial instruments
  • Familiarity with TMS, ERP systems, and electronic banking platforms
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud is preferred
  • Expertise in managing a payment factory is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse payment data, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and risk management
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify and address issues related to payment operations and treasury processes
