Our client is a leading provider of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs Brokerage, Surface Logistics and Distribution (3PL) services and has taken pride in the delivery of cargo to any market around the world.
They are now looking for an Export Supervisor Airfreight to support their growth and to join an excellent team of professionals in Amsterdam.
Job Profile for Export Supervisor Airfreight
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure smooth and efficient export of products to customers around the world
- Oversee all aspects of the export process, from coordinating with internal departments to managing customs clearance processes and negotiating with shipping lines
- Serve as a single point of coordination between customers (internal and external) and other agencies to ensure service commitments are achieved and maintained following client and company objectives
- Monthly billing and PNL (Profit and Loss percentage)
- Provide excellent and timely customer service
- Proactively inform clients of the status of their shipments using judgment and knowledge
- Refer technical questions to the team leader or licensed broker for response
- Receive, review and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts
- Process documents through the system
- Provide updates and communications for internal and external customers to produce timely and compliant transactions
- Obtain release and other government agency releases
- Arrange receiving or delivery, and ensure invoicing for services is completed accurately and within the timeframe consistent with the account and company policy
- Process other duties required for compliant release as well as timely delivery and receipt of shipments after release, cargo delivery set-up, and client invoicing
- Perform initial reviews and advise the export leader of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions
- Ensure customer profile information is entered and
- Prepare quotations, letters, and communications as directed
- Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected and documents are received within the time standard specified
Candidate Profile for Export Supervisor Airfreight
- Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Strong background in international trade
- Proven ability to manage complex logistics and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills
